Around Boston

The Tower sits right in the heart of Boston
Here are a few of our favorite things to do nearby

Garden

Public Garden

Swan boats, weeping willows, and the little suspension bridge — Boston at its most romantic, and just a block from The Tower.

Stroll

Commonwealth Avenue Mall

The tree-lined promenade running from the Public Garden to Massachusetts Avenue. Pay attention to the cross street names and make your way down the alphabet as you go.

Wander

Beacon Hill

Gaslit streets, brick sidewalks, and Acorn Street — the most photographed lane in the city.

Run

Charles River Esplanade

The riverside path where we've logged more marathon-training miles than we can count. Sailboats, blossoms, and the Cambridge skyline across the water.

Art

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

A Venetian palazzo with a courtyard blooming year-round, tucked just off the Back Bay Fens — the park whose rose garden is where Cam proposed.

History

The Freedom Trail

A red-brick line through four centuries of the city. It starts in downtown Boston and ends in Charlestown, our new home.

Bakery

Flour vs. Tatte

We're always fussing over which one is better. Try both and let us know whose side you're on.

Shop

Newbury Street

Boston's Madison Avenue: a whole street dedicated to shopping. We frequented this stretch when living in Back Bay — shops and boutiques galore.

Drink

Warren Tavern

Grab a pint and a burger at MA's oldest tavern, est. in 1780. Taking over from Paul, Benjamin, and George, we're the tavern's newest regulars.
